Afirm offers three different products with three different levels of retinol. It is recommended that you start out with the lowest level initially, the Afirm 1x, and then move up in levels as your skin acclimates to the product. Reactivity and sensitivity are normal responses when first using retinol. This reactivity should last 1-2 weeks and then subside.
